Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Limoges, playwright, Lecturer (General Education, Hankili So África), Koulsy also holds a Certificate in Cultural Entrepreneurship and Management and performs as a ‘gose’ (poet-singer) from his original community. He participated as an executive design agent in the birth of the Institute of Black Peoples (Burkina Faso), and later was founding director of the University Arts Center of the National University of Rwanda, and founding director of Casa R. Hankili África (Mexico). Koulsy has taught many courses, workshops and conferences on Creative Writing, Semiology in the Performing Arts, Theater in Africa, African Literature and Cinema, Management of Cultural Enterprises, African Studies in International Relations in several universities, institutes and cultural and artistic spaces including Casa R Hankili África México, American University of Nigeria, Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, Universidad Autónoma de la Ciudad de México (Coordinador de Difusion Cultural y Extension Universitaria), Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo; Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, National University of Rwanda. Resolutely Pan-African, Koulsy has participated in numerous cultural and performing arts projects as an author, critic, artistic director or producer on various continents.
