Ibrahima Ndoye is Professor of Outstanding Class at the Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar. He is titular : 

A University Doctorate (PHD) from the University of Science and Technology of Lille I (France), Certificats d’Études Supérieures de (Botany and Plant Biology, Plant Physiology, Structural and Metabolic Biochemistry, General Microbiology and Immunology). As a specialist in microbiology, he has conducted for several years high-level research activities on microbial symbioses and supervision of Master and PhD students at the Joint Laboratory of Microbiology IRD/ISRA/UCAD (French Institute of Research for Development, Senegalese Institute of Agricultural Research) and Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar). 

His research objectives were to study the behavior of plant symbiotic microorganisms in the Sahelian zone and their use in the improvement of plant production.  His scientific production is of high quality (more than 100 articles in international journals of rank A and many book chapters and papers in international congresses).  

He was the coordinator of the International Master in “Plant and Microbial Biotechnologies” and of the doctoral program “Plant and Microbial Biotechnologies and Plant Improvement” of the doctoral school “Life, Health and Environmental Sciences”. He taught courses in (General Microbiology, Microbial and Industrial Biotechnology, Microbial Symbioses and Phytopathology, Indoor Air Quality, Water Treatment and Drinking Water Production). 

He greatly contributed to the creation of the International Joint Laboratory for the Adaptation of Plants and Microorganisms to Environmental Stresses (LAPSE: http://www.lapse.ird.fr; https://twitter.com/LAPSE_IRD). He is its Co-Director.  Six (6) solid technological platforms of very high level, open to the academic and technological worlds have been realized (Cell Biology, Plant Molecular Genetics, Functional Genomics, Microbiology, Phenotyping and quantitative PCR) Pr Ndoye has had to coordinate several national, regional and international research projects. It is under his supervision that this laboratory has been certified to the ISO 9001 standard. 

He is a member of evaluation, expertise and review committees for numerous specialized scientific journals.  He was president of the African Association for Biological Nitrogen Fixation (AABNF) and of several other international events (congresses, symposia, etc….). He was awarded the prize for the best president of this association since its creation.
