Fatou Kiné CAMARA holds a Doctorate in Private Law and is a tenured Professor at the University Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar. She is the author of a series of books and articles on the anthropology of law such as L’union matrimoniale dans la tradition des peuples noirs, Paris: L’Harmattan, 2000 (co-authored with Saliou S. As a Human Rights activist for the respect of the rights of women and children, she has been Secretary General of the Senegalese Council of Women (COSEF) from 2007 to 2013 ; President of the Association of Senegalese Legal Scholars (AJS) from 2013 to 2015 and Honorary President since 2015; General Secretary of the Association for the Development of Bilingual Publishing (official language / national language) in Senegal (ADEBS), since 2012.
