Susana EDJANG

Global Health. International Development. Peace and Security.

Susana Edjang is an international development, global health, policy and peace and security consultant with over 15 years of experience. She has held strategic and influential positions in the UN Security Council, as Minister Counsellor for the Equatoguinean Government, the Executive Office of the Secretary-General of the United Nations where she was Project Manager of the Every Woman Every Child movement and a development advisor. In addition, Susana has worked in the UK Parliament where she was Parliamentary Advisor for Global Health and Climate Change, and at the THET, a UK NGO, which supports partnerships between health institutions and systems. Susana’s work has taken her to four continents, from where she has delivered both catalytic and large-scale initiatives through partnership and capacity-building at the global, regional, national, and sector levels. Susana is co-founder of Collateral Benefits (a series of perspective papers from Africa and its Diaspora focused on a future beyond COVID-19), and founding member of Afroinnova (a community innovation initiative to build and strengthen networks, common references and development models for the African diaspora). She is a member of the Council of the UK’s Royal African Society, co-author of the book Working in International Health (OUP, 2011), and chapter contributor to Lord Crisp’s One World Health: An Overview of Global Health (CRC Press, 2016).
