Dr. Ramenga Mtaali Osotsi was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. He is a Professor at the Institute of General Studies, Dedan Kimathi University of Technology, Nyeri, Kenya. He received his training in the Arts with specialization in Oral Literature, African Literature, theory of Art and Literary criticism. He has extensive teaching experience in and outside Africa. He has worked on African languages, especially on translation from mdw nTr to KiSwahili and the compiling of dictionaries in two East African languages. His current research area of interest is tracing the genetic links between mdw nTr and East African languages.
